Therefore, they will not wind up paying for a charge that shouldn’t have been traced to their accounts. Younger Visa holders ( and even some seasoned ones ) are renowned for ignoring this rule, and it will only cost them time and cash later when ( and if ) they work out they were charged wrongly. Mastercard tip four : Report taken cards instantly If your student has an ATM card, ensure he understands that, should it become missing, it’s got to be reported as soon as possible. Otherwise, someone could use it to rob their identity, which occurs far too often in today’s economy. If he or she’s fearful that mom or pop will get annoyed, assure her that though you won’t be very pleased, you’d rather find out from her or him the Mastercard was thieved.
